Do you read Summer themed books in therapy over the Summer? While many school-based SLPs are off during the summers, many of us are still working, whether it be in clinics, private practice, or even ESY! Summer themed books can encompass many different themes, including travel, camping, vacations, the beach/ocean, Summer weather, swimming, and more! You can also start the school year with a Summer theme, since many districts start back during the tail end of the summer season. It’s a great way to get your students talking about what they did over Summer Break! I compiled a list of my favorite Summer books for speech therapy below. Affiliate links are included, but you can find many of these as read-alouds online!
