Hey Ya’ll!
I’m Whitney, and I’m an SLP in South, GA. I graduated from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA and have worked as a school-based SLP in both Georgia and Florida for over 10 years.
My husband and I have two little ones, Halle Jane and Easton. We also have 2 miniature schnauzers, a goldador therapy dog-in-training, a cat, and a Betta fish! In my spare time (yeah, right!), I love DIY projects, graphic design, gardening, reading, and playing the piano. I’m also all about the farm life (mostly cows) and the beach. While I enjoy working with patients of all ages, I have a particular place in my heart for elementary-aged children, particularly those with language-based delays.
I’m so glad you’ve found my site!
I blog because I want to. It’s a therapeutic outlet for me, and it keeps my creative juices flowing. Plus, it enables me to talk about one of my favorite subject: Speech & Language Pathology, without boring my husband. The information I write about is meant to share activities for Speech/Language Pathologists, SPED teachers, or General Education classroom teachers to use in their therapy or classrooms. You will also find a great deal of activities and resources for parents who wish to supplement their child’s learning or therapy at home.
